Fundraising Leadership for

Organizations Doing Essential Work

Embedded support for nonprofits and public sector leaders building sustainable funding.

Based in Norwich, Vermont, Harvey & Smith Impact partners with nonprofits, local governments, and public agencies across New England. Our work focuses on organizations advancing social justice, education, environmental stewardship, the arts, and community well-being.

We specialize in embedded fundraising leadership. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all consulting, we integrate directly with organizations to provide consistent, strategic fundraising leadership without the cost or complexity of a full-time hire. This approach allows teams to build sustainable funding systems while staying focused on mission and community impact.

For organizations ready to plan beyond the immediate horizon, we also offer GroundFund, a one-year partnership designed to help nonprofits build reserve funds, seed endowments, or prepare for capital investment. Together, these models support both present needs and long-term financial stability.

At our core, we believe stable, diversified funding is essential to lasting change. By immersing ourselves in each organization’s culture, values, and goals, we help create fundraising strategies that are realistic, aligned, and built to endure. Our work is practical, collaborative, and grounded in respect for the demands nonprofit leaders face every day.
