For companies already making a contribution
Give your contributions
a clearer purpose.
If your giving has grown one request at a time, it can be hard to know what to continue, what to decline, and what the work is achieving. We help turn that activity into a program you can explain, manage, and assess, with priorities that serve both the community and your company.
Plan the giving.
Establish the causes and commitments your company will prioritize, how requests will be reviewed, and what the available budget and team can sustain. Leave with a clearer basis for saying yes, saying no, and planning ahead.
Communicate with care.
Work with your partners to share accurate stories about the contribution and its results. Give credit to the people doing the work, agree how their stories are used, and help customers and employees understand how to participate.
Build partnerships worth developing.
Assess the fit before committing. Clarify what each partner will contribute, who will coordinate the work, and how employees or customers can participate. Prepare sponsorship and partnership conversations around shared expectations.
Understand the value.
Agree what success should look like for both partners. Review community outcomes, employee participation, relationship development, and relevant business indicators. Assess financial return where it can be credibly attributed, and use the evidence to guide future giving.
The business value
Support that matters.
Relationships that last.
You should be able to answer three questions: Why this partnership? What will our support make possible? How will we know the work is worthwhile?
That clarity helps your company use its giving budget deliberately, develop community relationships, and give employees a meaningful way to participate. It also supports a credible public story: one based on the work and the partner’s experience.
Harvey & Smith brings corporate social responsibility, communications, and nonprofit leadership experience to both sides of the relationship. We help structure the partnership, prepare participation and communications, and establish a review process that supports better decisions.
Ways to begin
Start with the opportunity
already in front of you.
Bring us a giving program that needs direction, a partnership you want to develop, or a contribution you want to communicate with care. We agree the work and the measures of progress before you commit.
A giving strategy Working Day
$2,200 for eight client-facing working hours, advance preparation, a practical tool, and a 30-day action plan. Use the day to clarify giving priorities, review an existing partnership, or plan how people will participate. Travel is separate.
Communications for your giving
$2,250 for the customer communications package: one letter up to 750 words, three emails, and one follow-up template around a single offer or initiative. Use it to explain a partnership or invite participation, with the message grounded in the contribution.
Includes one kickoff, one review meeting, and one consolidated revision. Graphic design and publishing are separate.
A partner for the ongoing work
From $3,200 per month for 16 firm hours. Reserve capacity for an agreed giving and partnership scope: setting priorities, preparing partner conversations, coordinating communications, or reviewing results. Your plan names the lead, responsibilities, and hours.
